The Wetlands

Clark County's Wetlands Park is, hands down, my favorite local place to photograph.
Nestled in the southeast part of town, close to the Henderson border, over 200 acres provide habitats to 300+ species of animals and birds.

Even better, there's water!

What I love about it the most would be...
that it looks NOTHING like Las Vegas! Water, trees, pretty shrubs, shade....

In this month's edition of
'Where We Live',
I will be showing you several photographs I've taken in this beautiful place.

Welcome to Where I Live!

I'm really excited to be a part of this new blog circle, titled
Where I Live.
There are several photographers participating in our circle.
Each month, we'll write about ...where we live!
We'll introduce you to our homes, our cities or towns, our personal necks of the wood. Each photographer may take a different view of the theme, to make it their own.

For those who don't know me... let's see if you can guess where I live!

First, we have the most beautiful sunsets...

Here is a view of one of our famous landmarks, the Stratosphere.

We have snow in the winter... although we have to drive an hour + to see and play in it!

We are home to the Red Rocks Canyon National Conservation Area.

Don't take a wrong turn... you might get lost and this is all you'll see.

We have a monsoon season. And it's right now!

The Spring Mountains make fall look fabulous!

There aren't many roads in and out... but you'll find your way.

And we have the most beautiful moon shots!

Any idea yet where I live?
Someplace I swore I would never live.
Don't ever say NEVER!!

WELCOME TO ...

Well, now that you've seen a little of where I live, please visit Stephanie's blog !

Graduation Time for my Family!.... part 1

We're celebrating some very special graduations right here in my own family!

Our middle child graduated from high school on May 18th!
He is our first Home School Graduate!
And he graduated with an advanced degree and a gpa of 3.5!

Smith Center!!

It's Graduation Time in the Valley!

We spent some time at the dramatic Smith Center for some senior photographs! I've never been there before.... great location! It's definitely on my list!

Baby Fever...

Went up to northern Nevada to visit our most favorite friends!
Our kids grew up together (on vacations anyway) and now one of theirs has her own little baby.

I guess I am the 'great' auntie!

Little Lady at the Lake!

I met up with this sweet little lady at the lake and we had such a blast. She had not a shy bone in her body! She let Mom and Dad tag along too!
